Renova, Pennsylvania | $800,000 | Railroad Worker
A 55-year-old Conrail conductor sustained a torn rotator cuff of his right shoulder and a torn meniscus of his right knee when he was caused to fall while walking through heavy snow after disembarking from his engine. Conrail failed to plow and provide Pieklo with a safe place to walk under the Federal Employers Liability Act. This case settled after a week of trial for $800,000.
